Award Information
Given to graduate teaching associates for extraordinary performance in teaching. Nominated students should be the instructor of record, not graduate teaching assistants. Persons wishing to nominate students for this award should submit the form below, including the student’s teaching evaluation(s) and resume, along with a nominating statement. For more information, please contact Ernest Brothers, associate dean of the Graduate School, at ebrother@utk.edu.
Awards will be conferred at the Academic Honors Banquet on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Nomination Process
The steps of the nomination process are outlined below:
Nominator submits a completed nomination packet via the online form. The nomination form requests the following information:
- The nominees major, anticipated graduation term, and anticipated graduation year
- Letter of Recommendation, including a detailed description of the individual’s accomplishments (if not detailed within nominating statement) to ensure the nomination receives proper consideration.
- An evaluation of the nominee’s teaching ability
- Nominee’s resume
